Chris Beale is a contemporary artist based in Yorkshire, UK. He uses art as a way to promote and give form to energy in the body. His working practice spans a diverse range of media and techniques, from painting and performance, to video, drawing and printmaking. Chris Beale’s artworks tend to be improvisations, where intuition and impulse are allowed to become form: manifestations of a conscious pursuit of abandon. Veering frequently between playfulness and disquiet, there is a fearless, self-aware humanity which pervades the work.
